As the title suggests, Unplugged & More is a 3-disc set that includes the complete MTV Unplugged concert plus accompanying tracks! On January 25, 1991, Paul McCartney and his band played an intimate concert for about 200 people at Limehouse Television Studios in Wembley. The concert was filmed and recorded by director Bruce Gowers for the MTV Unplugged Concert series. The show lasted two and a half hours (including breaks), of which 48 minutes were edited for the actual TV show, which aired in the US on April 3, 1991 and in the UK on August 26, 1991. A live album was made from the show, which became the first Unplugged album. Other artists would later appear, including Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen, and Nirvana. Unplugged (The Official Bootleg) was originally released as a limited edition of 250,000 vinyl and less than 1 million CDs worldwide. This is the complete version of that incomplete album. Using the best available sources, all the songs are recorded, in the correct order, and without any editing errors! It’s a 3-disc set that also includes rehearsal recordings, so it’s a great deal! Recorded live at Limehouse Television Studios, Wembley, UK. 25 January 1991 CD1 Track 1-17 Unplugged (The Official Bootleg) Released 20 May 1991 (UK), 4 June 1991 (US) Track 18-20 “Biker Like An Icon” was originally scheduled to be released as the third UK single from Off the Ground on 26 April 1993. The CD single included an outtake from MTV Unplugged, along with three live tracks. Promos were sent to radio stations, but no single was produced. Track 21 We Can Work It Out (edit) – An alternate edit from the American multi-artist compilation The Unplugged Collection. Released on December 1, 1994, The Unplugged Collection: Volume 1. CD 2 Track 1 Paul Talks About ‘Unplugged’ – An interview with Paul filmed as part of the press screening for the Unplugged promotion held in Westcliff-on-Sea on July 19th. Cut to pieces for the Japanese TV broadcast. Tracks 2 – 13 In the weeks leading up to the recording, the show was rehearsed at Paul’s The Barn At The Mill in Sussex. Around 70 titles were tried out. The songs featured here were used on the radio show Obu Job. A series aired in March and April 1995. Track 14 “Oobu Joobu Theme (edit) Probably recorded in February 1989 Track 15-22 Complete Unplugged Edition A carefully reconstructed complete version, with a repeat due to a camera malfunction and Paul having to redo “We Can Work it Out” after forgetting the lyrics!
