Description
From the 2018 Japan tour, the two Tokyo Dome performances on October 31st and November 1st are recorded as a complete coupling recording from the original audience master owned by Taper. First of all, the first day was a complete recording of 2 hours and 36 minutes with a DAT recording master from Arena D Block.Although the sound is a little far away, it has a good sense of distance and a feeling of echo unique to the dome. You can experience it with a real feel. And on the memorable first day, since it was a tour with “Egypt Station”, of course “Who Cares” and “Come On to Me” from the same album were performed well, as well as the newly added brass section. As a result, it’s refreshing to hear classic live numbers like “Live and Let Die” in powerful arrangements. Another big point is that “From Me To You” was inserted into the acoustic part in the middle, and the set was changed considerably from the second day the next day, and by the way, “Hi, Hi,” It is worth checking out that Hi “Ya” and “All My Loving” are shifted to a different song on the second day. On the second day, the complete recording was performed for 2 hours and 38 minutes using digital audience recording from the 1st floor stand. I was surprised at how close the sound was, considering it was recorded from the stands, and the echoes from the dome didn’t make it feel dull, and the guitar sound particularly stood out throughout the recording, which was completely different from the first day. The big point is that you can listen to it with a different texture. Above all, the set has changed considerably from the first day, and the opening songs “Hi, Hi, Hi” and “All My Loving” are replaced by “Junior’s Farm” and “Can’t Buy Me Love.” “Got to Get You into My Life,” which has a powerful brass track, was only played twice overseas on this tour, and with this song included, there was one more song played than on the first day, and “I ‘ve Just Seen A Face’ was replaced by ‘We Can Work It Out’, and ‘Eleanor Rigby’ was redone, making this a live show full of buzz. And finally, the first encore song was changed from “Yesterday” to “I Saw Her Standing There”, and in the end “Yesterday” was not sung, an unprecedented event in recent performances in Japan. Including those, the content and structure have been completely changed from the previous “One on One” tour, and the content is so different in two days, so this set is a must-have collector’s edition.
