Paul McCartney’s 70s roughly overlapped with his 30s. In his 30s, full of talent and ambition, he led a band called Wings and ran through the fruitful 1970s. And it was thought that this would continue into the 1980s and beyond. However, during the first year of the 1980s, two major events occurred for Paul. First, in January 1980, he was arrested for marijuana possession while visiting Japan for a concert. Paul is detained, and while the interrogation continues, which may end at any moment, the rest of the band, exhausted, return home. The Wings fell apart when Denny Lane, who was especially loyal to them, returned to Japan. Paul lost his band, which made it impossible for him to go on tour. At the end of the same year, John Lennon was murdered by a deranged person. When Yukiko Okada committed suicide, many young people followed suit, and it was even brought up as an issue in the Diet, so in every era and in every case, there are people who are inspired and try to imitate her. At this point, Paul seemed genuinely afraid that it would be his turn next and that he would be shot from the audience if he went on stage. As a result, they did not tour at all during the 1980s, and were completely silent in terms of live activities. On the other hand, although he did not appear on tour, he has made a number of one-off live appearances. This work focuses on Paul’s one-off live performances and is a chronological series of detailed live performances that are not included in many collector’s items. This 6th installment includes single live performances, TV appearances, radio appearances, etc. from 2010 to 2012. Below is a list of highlights that you should pay attention to. On July 14, 2012, he attended Bruce Springsteen’s concert and performed “I Saw Her Standing There” and “Twist And Shout” together. It’s backed by a blues band, so it’s different from Paul’s usual live shows. Therefore, “I Saw Her Standing There” has also changed the singing style considerably, and you can listen to a different Paul than usual. “Twist And Shout” begins right away. It would be surprising that Paul would sing the lead, which was John’s part. The performance at the London Olympics on July 17, 2012 is still fresh in my memory. Following a rare version of only the last part of “The End,” they sang “Hey Jude.” However, as you know, there was a lag in the timing between the pre-recorded miming and the actual live audio, and it is clearly recorded that the lyrics were skipped in the middle and they were forced to match. At this point, it seems they gave up on the miming sound and switched to live performance. Another vocal version also exists, and this work includes both. The biggest surprise was their performance at the AFRICA EXPRESS event on September 8, 2012. He is playing “Good Night Tonight” for the first time since 1979 with Wings. Moreover, it is a long performance lasting over 11 minutes. This one song alone is worth the price of this work. The version of “Money” performed at the Motown event on September 8, 2012 may also be the first time Paul has sung the song. DISC ONE SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE December 11, 2010 01. Jet 02.
