Description

While Paul’s latest “GOT BACK” tour, delivered with stunning, ultra-clear sound through his masterpiece “ATLANTA 2025 2 DAYS COMPLETE: ORIGINAL IN EAR MONITOR RECORDING,” is still fresh in our minds, we’re releasing a CD of in-ear monitor recordings from his latest tour! Before the Atlanta two-day tour, Paul performed a live show in New Orleans. The Atlanta enthusiasts who performed in-ear monitor recordings also recorded the first live show from this tour there. Thanks to this, a third superb recording from the latest tour was born! This is a blessing for enthusiasts. Above all, since there are no audience-source recordings in New Orleans, this is the only album where you can fully enjoy the full show! And it has superb in-ear monitor sound quality! Because this was the first in-ear monitor recording, only Wicks’ in-ear monitors were captured on the opening two tracks, “Help!” and “Coming Up,” resulting in an unbalanced vocal performance. To reinforce this balance, the addition of the same-day audience recording made the recording easier to listen to. However, listening to “Coming Up” midway through should no longer bother you. Rather, the second half of “Coming Up” explodes with a super-clear sound that, once again, feels like a stereo soundboard. The horn section’s explosive tone, especially in “Got to Get You Into My Life,” is better balanced than in the Atlanta performance, making it truly enjoyable to listen to. This level of clarity is a technique that even close-sounding audience recordings cannot achieve. Not only that, but the direct feel emanating from the entire band sound is incredible. The overall acoustic guitar presence and tone are excellent, and of course, the acoustic corner starting with “I’ve Just Seen a Face” is a truly impressive listen. And yet, the stereo experience is outstanding, and you’ll be overwhelmed by the sound quality and realism that even close-sounding audience recordings cannot achieve. Despite the relaxed schedule in New Orleans, with no shows before or after, Paul’s voice was instantly fired up. This may have been due in large part to the fact that the tour had essentially begun a month earlier. The acoustic section on this day was also quite dramatic. During the signboard time before the familiar “In Spite of All the Danger,” a Japanese performer from New Orleans caught Paul’s eye with a “SAIKO” sign, and he responded with a resounding “Awesome!” Then, in front of the “Japanese Lesson Please” sign, Paul jokingly exclaimed “The Bittles!” or “The Beatles!” for the first time in a long time. And it was a surprising turn of events in New Orleans. Given that New Orleans was a place with a history of intense racial discrimination, after performing “Blackbird,” Paul spoke at greater length than usual about the circumstances surrounding the song’s writing and stories from Jacksonville in 1964, which was deeply moving. Although the highlights tended to be concentrated in the acoustic section on this day, the latter half of the live performance, like Atlanta, was delivered with a vivid, direct feeling in stereo. The virtual duet with John, “I’ve Got a Feeling,” also boasts a vivid, stereo feel. This time, too, Paul’s latest live performance can be enjoyed with confidence, thanks to the amazing in-ear monitor recording.
