Di’Anno has announced his retirement several times, which is confusing, but to put it simply, he toured until April 2016. After that, he was hospitalized during a Brazilian tour and has not been involved in music activities since, and his retirement live performance, which was announced in 2020, was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The news that came in in 2021 was that he was staying in Croatia for a long time to treat his knee and was raising medical expenses through crowdfunding. In the end, crowdfunding alone did not raise enough funds, but IRON MAIDEN came to his rescue. He provided the missing material and successfully completed his knee surgery last month (September 12, 2022). And “KEEP IT TRUE RISING II” was Diano’s first public appearance since his surgery (by the way, he performed once in Croatia in May this year, but before his surgery). “KEEP IT TRUE RISING II” is a tear-jerking steel festival where famous bands of the past came together. Over the three days, 30 groups participated, including SAXON, RIOT V, DIAMOND HEAD, TYGERS OF PAN TANG, SATAN, HOLOCAUST, VENOM INC., and others.
