Description
A live performance by the Patti Smith Group held in Denmark in 1976, recorded in good stereo audience quality! A treasured recording of a live performance held at Daddy’s Dance Hall in Copenhagen, Denmark on May 12, 1976, about five months before the release of their second album, “Radio Ethiopia”, has been released! Although the sound quality is almost mono, the vocals are loud and well-balanced for each part, and the sound quality is reasonably good for that time. The complete recording includes everything from the opening Velvet Underground cover “We’re Gonna Have A Real Good Time Together” to the encore cover of The Who “My Generation”, and the new songs “Radio Ethiopia” and “Pissing In A River”, which were not included in the set list until March, have been added, increasing the number of songs from “Radio Ethiopia” to four. From the 7-minute-plus “Ain’t It Strange” to the equally long new song “Radio Ethiopia,” the 9-minute-plus “Land,” “Gloria,” and the climax with “My Generation,” this 75-minute-long performance is a great one!
