Description
A surprising Metheny mania item has been released that includes all the songs recorded live at the Opera House in Seattle, where only one song (San Lorenzo) was officially released, from the master sound source for the first time. The Seattle performance was officially recorded on a promotional album during the Pat Metheny Group’s U.S. tour before their debut with ECM, but only “San Lorenzo” was released, and the other songs were buried in the dark. However, the entire story has finally been digitally transferred and released from Mega Disc using the master sound source as the original source. On bass, Eberhard Weber was replaced by Mark Egan, a friend from his time at the University of Miami, and Lyle Mays and Danny Gottlieb were added, and as we all know, the band has made rapid progress since then. If you listen to this rare live performance from the early days of the group’s formation, you can see that the Metheny Group had already gained many fans, as they were greeted with thunderous applause after the host introduced them. The original sound source maintains a wonderful sound quality that does not show any deterioration over time, and you can feel the difference from the sound source uploaded to the video site. This is a live performance showcasing the group’s early charm, and you can’t miss it!
