Description
This 2-hour, 11-minute recording captures the November 6th performance in Louisville, Kentucky, from the US tour following the release of 1997’s “Imaginary Day.” The high-quality audience master recordings from that time have been digitally remastered to create a fully enjoyable live album, beautifully recreating the band’s wide dynamic range and delicate tonal qualities. Furthermore, the mastering process and editing, along with smooth cuts between songs, ensures a quality that’s fully enjoyable. The performance itself is also impeccable, kicking off with “Into the Dream,” a staple that frequently opens live shows, and continuing with a set centered around tracks from that album, allowing for a truly enjoyable performance that reflects the band’s unique style from that period. Also, just like the performance in Japan the following year, the beauty of the ballad “September Fifteenth” by the duo Pat & Lyle e, placed at the end of the tour, is tear-jerking. Incidentally, although several recordings from the tour the following year have been released, there are surprisingly few live recordings from the early part of this 1997 tour. In addition, this masterpiece brings back the excitement of the Japanese performance at that time in the best quality.
