Description
The 1979 US tour, which started after the release of the album “American Garage”, is known as a tour that covered the whole US and raised its profile, starting with a performance in Boston on February 1st and ending with a performance in Kansas City on December 29th. The live recordings broadcast on the radio at that time were unearthed by enthusiasts this year and uploaded to YouTube. However, due to the deterioration of the tape itself over time, the sound was unbearable, with terrible noise and different pitches for each song. This title released this time contains remastered sound sources by Goddy, an overseas sound source enthusiast, so you can listen to it with peace of mind. The sound quality is outstanding, but there are some things that even Goody cannot fix, so the beginning of “Phase Dance” is slightly cut, and the drums are loud in the broadcast mix until the radio station’s sound person adjusts the balance. There is also a cut part just before Danny Gottlieb’s drum solo in “Wrong is Right”. However, Goody’s skillful editing work allows you to enjoy a smooth listening experience. This will be the first live performance from the 1979 tour, with only two performances announced so far: October 30th at the University of Michigan and November 17th at Hofstra University in New York.
