Description

This is a three-disc set that was remastered from the FM broadcast sound source and recorded in the best condition compared to the previous title, from the world tour accompanying the release of the masterpiece “Letter from Home,” which won the number one spot on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Album Chart as the second release after moving to Geffen and won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Fusion Performance in 1990, to the Montreal International Jazz Festival held in Canada for two consecutive days. The first day, July 4th, the stage was performed by the Pat Metheny Group, which was made up of a sextet, and they performed a wonderful performance that was truly worthy of being called the heyday. In the previous title, hiss noise and hum noise were generated due to the deterioration of the master itself, which was stressful when listening with the volume turned up. This sound source is a sound source broadcast by Canadian radio station CHOM FM that was remastered and edited by Goody, a famous overseas sound source maniac on the Internet, and the overall pitch has been lowered by +28 cents to adjust to the correct pitch. In addition, the radio announcer’s introduction at the end of the song has been deleted so that you can listen to it smoothly. But what is even more surprising is that the stereo balance is stable in the center, making it a beautiful live album that is much easier to listen to. Now, unlike the first day, the stage on the second day, July 5th, appeared as a simple trio accompanied by Charlie Daden and Jack DeJohnette. This sound source was also released by Mega Disk in the past, and many copies of it were available. However, like the first day, the sound source also has hiss noise and hum noise due to the deterioration of the master itself. Since an analog master is used, noise cannot be avoided, but the sound source on the second day has been remastered by Goody and you can enjoy it with a sound source that has been reduced to the maximum extent possible. Because it is a simple trio, the noise was a concern, but now you can enjoy this legendary sound source with peace of mind.
