This is a coupling of precious live recordings and videos from different performances after the release of the album “Metheny Mehldau,” which was co-produced in 2006 by Metheny & Brad Mehldau, who are said to be the dream collaboration quartet. First of all, this first collaboration album was a huge hit as the biggest project in the jazz scene at the time, and was highly praised from all quarters. Furthermore, with the expectations of jazz fans around the world, the second collaboration album “Quartet” was released in 2007, and this was the time when this collaboration was the most attention. And from the duo tour in the same year, the first recording is the precious performance in Frascati, Italy on July 15th, which is the first appearance, and it has been digitally remastered with a high-quality audience master and recorded almost in full for 2 hours and 33 minutes. First of all, the sound source, which originally reproduced the delicate tone beautifully, was mastered and edited to fit perfectly on two discs by changing the order of some of the songs. Furthermore, the video Blu-ray includes the master quality, pro-shot footage of their appearance at the annual jazz festival “Jazzaldia Festival” held in San Sebastian, Spain, two weeks later on July 28th, which was recently re-aired in Europe. This Blu-ray disc is in HD quality, taking advantage of the large capacity unique to Blu-ray, and the audio part is also fully recorded in perfect PCM stereo for 2 hours and 2 minutes, and here you can enjoy a breathtaking performance, focusing on numbers from those two albums.
