Description

From the “BARK AT THE MOON” US tour where Ozzy Osbourne welcomed Jake E. Lee, the professional shot footage of the Salt Lake City, Utah performance on March 18, 1984, known as one of the classics, is used directly from the high-quality full-length master! Ozzy, who completed the European tour accompanying the announcement of the new album “BARK AT THE MOON” featuring Jake by December ’83, finally moved to the United States and held a large-scale North American tour from January to June ’84. Ozzy, who skillfully used the growing popularity of heavy metal at the time, represented by the L.A. metal boom, as a “tailwind”, won more support from many fans than in the Randy Rhoads era, and built the foundation as the “emperor of metal” that continues to this day. During that ’84 US tour, the professional shot footage of the Salt Lake City “Salt Place” performance on March 18 has long been known as a classic among fans. However, the footage from that day that has been circulating recently is a “shortened version” in which “Suicide Solution” and Jake’s guitar solo have been cut out, disappointing many fans. In this work, this Salt Lake City performance has been digitized after being carefully remastered using the best materials among the currently available “full-length” masters! All Ozzy fans can enjoy this classic in the best possible form! The live performance is a series of spectacular entertainment from the beginning, with Ozzy appearing majestically from the large staircase set up as the stage set, and “I Don’t Know” opening with pyro explosions (note the careful attention to detail, with even the staff carrying water to Ozzy in armor between songs)! The footage is a perfect multi-camera pro shot, and any fan will be glued to the screen. Furthermore, the remastered sound quality makes the songs enjoyable to listen to! Jake is not only flashy in appearance, but also in his guitar playing and staging. His energetic performance as he runs around the stage, bursting with flashy playing that is so typical of the ’80s, shows his charm as a young guitar hero. His guitar cuts into phrases in “Rock ‘n’ Roll Rebel,” “Bark At The Moon,” and “Centre of Eternity” from the new album, creating a great listening point for the live performance. Of course, Jake’s playing also brings new life to the songs from the Randy era, such as “Mr. Crowley,” “Revelation (Mother Earth),” and “Steal Away (The Night).” The middle part of the live performance, “Suicide Solution,” and Jake’s guitar solo are missing from many items currently on the market, and are definitely the highlight of this work. Jake’s sharp playing, which breathes fresh air into the heavy world of songs, makes you wonder “why was this cut?” (Ozzy grabbing Jake in the middle of the solo is also very typical of him at that time)! Tommy Aldridge’s drums, who returned to the band, fit seamlessly into all the songs. He also played in perfect harmony with Bob Disley’s bass (and of course his bare-handed solo was great). The show was at its peak from start to finish. “Flying High Again,” “Crazy Train,” and even the BLACK SABBATH numbers “Iron Man” and “Paranoid” were played amidst roaring cheers that shook the entire venue, overwhelming the audience! This video, which features over 75 minutes of heated live performance recorded with the highest quality professional shots, is undoubtedly the definitive version of Ozzy’s ’84 footage! Fans who wanted to see this show in its entirety should not miss this! Live at Salt Palace, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA 18th March 1984 PRO-SHOT 1. Intro. 2. I Don’t Know 3. Mr. Crowley 4.
