Description

“Jake era keyboardless live” was born by chance due to Don Airey’s emergency return to Japan. An original recording released for the first time in the world that records the whole story is now available. This work includes “July 6, 1984 Nakano Sun Plaza Performance”. This is a full audience recording recorded on the 1984 Japan tour, which was also Jake E. Lee’s first visit. Initially, five full members came to Japan, but Don’s mother became critically ill during the Japan tour. Don, who received the news, returned to Japan after performing the show on the same day, and then completed the remaining dates with a four-piece formation without a keyboard. In order to remember the circumstances around that, let’s first look back at the show’s position from the schedule at that time.・June 28: Nakano Sunplaza ・June 29: Shinjuku Welfare Pension Hall (June 29: Don Airey returns home) ・June 30: Nagoya City Public Hall ・July 2: Osaka Festival Hall 7 March 3rd: Fukuoka Sun Palace Hall, July 5th: Nakano Sunplaza, July 6th: Nakano Sunplaza ←★This work★ July 7th: Shibuya Public Hall, total of 8 performances. From the 1984 Japan tour, two definitive ultra-excellent soundboards were discovered, and our “ULTIMATE BARKS: TOKYO 1984” is also very popular. The Nakano Sunplaza performance of this work was one of those shows. However, unlike the sound board, which had many recording omissions, it is a full live album where you can enjoy all the songs. Also, not only the length but also the quality is excellent. This is an original recording of this work that was given to me by the recording artist himself, but this is not just anyone. He is one of Japan’s best masters who has continued to record from the 1980s to the present, and is a master who has also worked on many famous press titles. Due to the existence of a transcendental leaked sound board, permanent preservation was not possible, but this work also has an unusual sound. The reality of the excitement of the peak of popularity swirls around, and on, who has no sense of distance, approaches your ears. In fact, the amount of heat that can be felt at the scene in this work is considerable, and you can even hear screams, but it is so powerful that even that can be overpowered. Even more surprising is the ultra-clear detail down to the smallest detail. You could even clearly feel the minute electrical noises emitted by the on-site PA, and the combination of real enthusiasm and the audience’s unusual vividness made you think, “Is this an outdoor festival?!” It is a great recording with a realistic and vivid feeling that has no echoes that you can hardly imagine in an indoor hall. What is depicted with such a sound is a full show that could not be expected with a sound board. Let’s quickly organize the sets while comparing them. Sabbath (2 songs) ・Paranoid: Iron Man/Paranoid (★) Randy era (8 songs) ・Blizzard of Oz: I Don’t Know/Mr. Crowley/Revelation (Mother Earth)/Steal Away (The Night) /Suicide Solution/Crazy Train (★)・Diary of a Madman: Over The Mountain/Flying High Again Bark At The Moon (3 songs)・Rock ‘n’ Roll Rebel/Bark At The Moon/Center Of Eternity (★ ) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on the sound board on the same day. …and it looks like this. I’ve omitted it here, but it takes about 80 minutes from the start of the performance, “Carmina Burana”, to the closing announcement, which is played along with the BGM “So Tired” (it’s not just that it’s recorded, it’s amazing how realistic you can feel even the steps of the exit). You can enjoy the full show. The overall experience is wonderful, but the key points are the three songs that could not be heard on the sound board: “Centre Of Eternity”, “Crazy Train”, and “Paranoid”. Especially delicious is “Centre Of Eternity”, which is exclusive to this tour. The wild, explosive feeling of a solid four-piece ensemble without any decoration on the keyboard is irresistible. As mentioned above, it is a show where the sound board is leaked, and it is undeniable that some songs have a somewhat noisy feel. The combination of power that you wouldn’t expect from a guest record and a tremendous documentary feel is on a completely different level from ordinary audience recordings. A masterpiece of a live album that allows you to experience the ultimate 4-piece live performance. Live at Nakano Sunplaza, Tokyo, Japan 6th July 1984 PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) (78:50) 1.
