Description
The Joe Holmes era lasted for five years but ended in failure. The masterpiece soundboard has evolved! The first complete live album in history with the fateful “beep” sound abolished is born! This work permanently preserves the “Phoenix performance on April 13, 1996”. It is a super-excellent stereo soundboard recording. If you have noticed this article, you may have already noticed, but this show is also famous for the FM soundboard that was left behind, and the masterpiece “PHOENIX 1996: PRE-FM BROADCAST” has also been very well received. This work is the press version. . . . It is not. It is the first “perfect official live album” in history that does not have any of the defects that were present in the conventional groups. Let’s take a closer look. Point 1: Another broadcast version without “beep” sounds The biggest drawback of the conventional version was the self-imposed “beep” sound. The radio station was broadcasting Ozzy’s “fuck!!” with a “beep” sound. It’s possible to turn a blind eye to a few places, but when the main character is Ozzy, it’s not so easy. Whether it’s between songs or during a song, “fuckin’ XXX!!” is repeated. If you’ve experienced it before, you’ll know that it was full of “beeps”. However! Not all broadcasts were covered by the “beep” sound. In fact, there was also another broadcast without restrictions (it is said that there was no restriction because it was a live broadcast on the day of the live). This was 100% music to enjoy, just like a normal official live album. Point 2: New master with the highest peak update In fact, the “beep-free” live broadcast version has been known among core enthusiasts for a long time, but the conventional master did not have a good sound. Until now, it was said that “the live broadcast was shoddy,” but recently the prestigious “Krw_co” released a new master. This new master is incredible! It is a completely official sound equivalent (or better) to the recently popular Shades label’s “PHOENIX 1996: PRE-FM BROADCAST,” and has overturned the conventional wisdom that “broadcasts without a pi” have bad sound. Point 3: A precious full show from the Holmes era Such a new master depicts Ozzy Osbourne from the precious Holmes era. Holmes did not leave an official album, but he has recolored all of his classic songs with his guitar. “Perry Mason” is particularly valuable. This song was not played after Zakk Wylde returned, and Holmes was the only one who played it live. It has become a song that symbolizes the precious era. He also came to Japan a month before this work, but the set is slightly different from that time, so let’s organize it by comparing them. Sabbath (6 songs) Paranoid: Paranoid/Iron Man/War Pigs (★) Others: Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (★)/Sweet Leaf/Children Of The Grave Solo (12 songs) Randy era: I Don’t Know/Flying High Again/Goodbye To Romance/Suicide Solution/Mr. Crowley/Crazy Train Jake era: Bark At The Moon Zach era: Perry Mason (★)/No More Tears (★)/I Just Want You/I Don’t Want To Change The World/Mama I’m Coming Home *Note: Songs marked with “★” are not included in the masterpiece “BUDOKAN 1996 FINAL” from the Japanese tour. Point 4: Bonus recording of the only studio recording This full live performance alone is enough to fill your heart, but this album also includes an even more delicious bonus track. That is “Walk on Water,” which was provided for the movie “BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD DO AMERICA.” This song is the only studio recording left from the Joe Holmes era (he wrote three songs for “Down to Earth”, but Zach recorded them). “Walk on Water” itself is rare, but what’s even more troublesome is that there are two versions. One is the soundtrack version included in this work, and the other is the demo version included in the box set “PRINCE OF DARKNESS”. Jim Vallance, who composed the demo version, is in charge of all the instruments, and Holmes only played the soundtrack version. Of course, the soundtrack version is the one that is permanently preserved in this work. Not to mention the official live albums of Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde, there was “KANSAS CITY 1986 COMPLETE” during the Jake E. Lee era, and “DEFINITIVE MEMPHIS 1982” during the Brad Gillis era, which were “official substitute ultimate soundboards”. So, what about the Joe Holmes era? The answer is this work. There is no “beep” sound, which was a fate until now, and the quality is completely official. Furthermore, it is an absolute work that can be said to be a “semi-official work of the Joe Holmes era” complete with the only studio song “Walk on Water”. The ultimate album of the Joe Holmes era. This is a super-excellent stereo soundboard recording of the “Phoenix performance on April 13, 1996”. It is a separate broadcast version without the “beep” sound that was covered by Ozzy’s “fuck!”, and the sound is also completely official. In addition, the only studio recording of the Holmes era, “Walk On Water”, is also included as a bonus. This is an absolute version of the Joe Holmes era, along with “KANSAS CITY 1986 COMPLETE” from the Jake era and “DEFINITIVE MEMPHIS 1982” from the Brad era.
