This is the complete recording of the 2002 Finsbury Park concerts, acclaimed to surpass even the Knebworth performance. This is the first time that the first and second performances have been released on CD. Both performances were equally passionate, and an NME reporter visiting the show cited the performance six years ago, already considered a historic milestone, as the headline: “EVEN BETTER THAN KNEBWORTH!” The first performance, July 5th, was released at the time but is no longer available, making this the first time. While the previously released version featured a distant sound recorded in a vast outdoor venue, this release features an excellent audience recording from a very close distance. Liam’s brown coat, covered in appliqués, is particularly striking on the first day. The second performance, July 6th, was also released but is no longer available, making this the first time. While the previously released version suffered from bass distortion and frequent volume fluctuations due to limiters, this release is free of distortion and maintains a flat volume throughout. On this day, Liam was on stage wearing a white sweater. The two days at Finsbury, a historic venue that rivals Knebworth, Main Road, and Earl’s Court, were completely recorded with the best sound quality.
