Description
After finishing Chicago on the 2001 Brotherly Love Tour, Oasis took the stage in Toronto after a day off. There were several complete audience recordings on this day, but the one provided was the FM broadcast sound source of the same day. It is an overlooked soundboard sound source that is not widely available on the Internet, let alone among traders. It is undeniable that the Brotherly Love Tour itself has been overlooked, and the soundboard whose existence is finally limited. The sound quality itself is completely different from that of Denver, which is known for producing the only decent item on this tour. Both were more like a PA-out soundboard balance than a multi-track with a tight mix, but while the other one was stereo and the separation of the instruments was too good, this one was a mono sound. Therefore, the balance is quirky and the sense of realism is low, but since it does not have the glaring feel of Denver, it is easy to hear and the power of the performance is transmitted vividly. Still, it is unfortunate that it was in mono in 2001, and that several songs were cut and broadcast. These factors overlap, and it is assumed that this is a sound source that is not widely available compared to the sound board, but ironically, thanks to the mono, you can enjoy the overwhelming power if you play it through speakers. Even with a strong balance of direct feeling, Liam’s condition is better than Denver, and you can enjoy the way Noel sings “Step Out” with high tension in a vivid and realistic way. This time, it was released as if it was dissing how dull the sound source was in 2001 Denver (bitter smile), but if you listen to it in the order of the actual tour schedule such as Toronto, you will clearly feel that Liam and the group have been getting better since Denver. And the drumming of Steve White, who replaced his younger brother Alan, is doubled thanks to the mono. Around “Fade Away”, you can enjoy the straight and hard drumming that has a different feel from the original Tony McCarroll. On the other hand, he is also on the ball in the second half of “Gas Panic!” Live at Molson Amphitheatre, Toronto, ON, Canada 22nd May 2001 SBD (51:24) 1. Go Let It Out 2. Morning Glory 3.
