Description
This compilation is a compilation of all the footage of Oasis performing live on their native UK TV shows from 1994 to 1995, all in the best quality. Studio live footage of classic songs is condensed into one hour. The start is “LATER… WITH JOOLS HOLLAND,” the only TV appearance video of this title from 1994. Three songs were performed here, but this time it is based on the Japanese Broadcast version, and “Sad Song,” which was cut at that time, is not included. However, the highlight of this video is the precious real-time live performance of “Whatever.” This timeless masterpiece that Japanese people love so much was premised on a live performance including strings except for the earliest performances, so it was temporarily sealed from the repertoire in the United States the following year when the orchestra could not accompany it. Because of this, even though it is a masterpiece, there are very few opportunities to hear it performed live in real time. It is so attractive to be able to see such a precious live version in perfect image quality. Liam’s vocals are so enchanting, and coupled with the careful performance that can only be achieved in real time, it is a truly charming scene. It is also very rare that the following “I Am The Walrus” was performed on TV as a string version following the previous song. The next recording was the second “LATER… WITH JOOLS HOLLAND” that appeared again a year later. Oasis’ schedule was extremely busy during this period of explosive popularity, and they even performed a triumphant return performance in Manchester two days before the program recording. During the recording, Liam’s throat was raised, and here he appeared with Noel’s vocals throughout the entire show without him. Thanks to this, the only Noel vocal version of the extremely valuable live take “Cum On Feel The Noize” was performed, and “Round Are Way” was also performed in the form of Noel vocals and band performance, resulting in an extremely valuable TV appearance full of performances. In addition, Noel, who answers the interview by the host Jools Holland in between programs, is even cute, and the fashion sense unique to that time is also very impressive. This video was recorded from the version recently broadcast in Germany, and you can enjoy it with a picture quality that is so clear that there is nothing to complain about. The second half of the video includes two appearances at “THE WHITE ROOM” in 1995. The first one is the appearance in April, just before Tony McCarroll left the band. From here, “Talk Tonight”, which Paul Weller joined and played with Noel, is well known, but the versions currently available on YouTube have problems such as unnatural movements, unclear sharpness of the image, or conversely, roughness. The version recorded here is the best version that rejects them all. And the last one is the appearance in December. It is impressive that Liam’s looks have become more dignified in just a little over half a year since his appearance in April. You can also enjoy “Round Are Way”, which he couldn’t sing on “LATER” in November, with Liam’s vocals here. The recording was broadcast in two parts, and since the first was on New Year’s Eve and the countdown, it’s interesting that the new year came while Noel was singing “Don’t Look Back In Anger” and “Wonderwall”. Is it an exaggeration to say that it captures the moment when 1996, the year when the glory of Knebworth awaited Oasis, began? In this way, although all of them are standard live footage of Oasis from the 90s, the concept of this title is to compile them all in the highest quality. And yet, it is full of great songs such as “Whatever”, “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back In Anger”, so even beginners will be satisfied with the content.
