Description

NIRVANA released “BLEACH” in 1989 and took off into the world. Introducing the finest soundboard album that conveys the scene of their first European tour. This work includes “Vienna performance on November 22, 1989”. This is a stereo soundboard recording. This day is also known for being broadcast on a local FM station in Austria in 2001, but this work is not an air check of that day. Although it is based on the leaked soundboard that was released before the broadcast, and is the best in length and quality, not everyone is familiar with conventional FM soundboards. , I will explain it from the beginning. First and foremost is the show’s position. Let’s check the show’s position from the schedule at the time when it released a shocking sound to the world. [“BLEACH” completed on January 24th]・January 6th-February 25th: North America #1 (6 performances)・April 1st-26th: North American #2 (4 performances)・May 26th- June 10th: North America #3a (3 performances)《“BLEACH” released on June 15th》 ・June 16th – October 13th: North America #3b (33 performances) ・October 23rd – December 3rd : Europe (37 performances) ←★Here★ This is NIRVANA in 1989. Until then, they had never experienced a “tour” that involved repeating stages and traveling, and until 1989, when they performed “North America #2″, they only performed sporadically. With the release of “BLEACH,” they embarked on their first tour “North America #3,” and with that momentum, they also expanded into Europe. The Vienna performance of this work was the 26th concert of such “European” leg. This work recorded at such a scene is a truly ultra-real sound board. As mentioned above, it was also broadcast on FM, but that was much later. Although it was a rough mix, perhaps because it was not intended for broadcast at the time of recording, it is much more glossy than a normal direct-to-the-desk mix. The scorching ensemble left to the youth with the best official sound will flow directly into your brain. Of course, the sound is much better than FM broadcasting. However, the FM broadcast was monaural and was the best at the time, so there is no comparison… or rather, it is so different that it seems like bringing it up would give a bad impression of this work. Moreover, it is about 9 minutes long. As a matter of fact, the first song “School” is missing on this leaked soundboard, but in this work it is supplemented with the audience recording of the same day. You can seamlessly experience the full set of that time. Moreover, this audience recording is also the best sound that you want to line up “super” in a row. To put it bluntly, it only sounds like a soundboard. If you don’t know anything about it, it’s such a transcendent sound that even if you listen to it with headphones, you’ll feel like you just touched a knob on the table. What comes out on such a transcendental sound board is a fierce full show that seems to show ambition and instinct. Speaking of their first European tour, the official soundboard super masterpiece “MANCHESTER 1989” is very popular at our store, but this work about a month later has a different set. Let’s compare and organize them. ・BLEACH: School (★) / Scoff / Love Buzz / Floyd The Barber / About A Girl / Negative Creep / Blew ・NEVERMIND: Breed (★) ・Others: Dive / Spank Thru / Big Cheese / Sappy (★) / Been A Son (★)/Vendetagainst (aka. Help Me, I’m Hungry) (★) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard even in “MANCHESTER 1989”. …and it looks like this. There was a rush of repertoire unique to the early days, mainly the “BLEACH” number. It’s interesting to see that “Breed” is already being played, but “Vendetagainst” is even rarer than that. This song was included as “Help Me, I’m Hungry” in the 2004 BOX set “WITH THE LIGHTS OUT”, but it is an extremely rare song that has only been played a few times. You can enjoy it with the best sound board. Although such a full show alone will fill you up, this work also includes three delicious bonus tracks. Moreover, all of them are super best takes on the 1989 studio sound board. The first is “Do You Love Me?”, which was provided for the KISS tribute album “HARD TO BELIEVE” and was recorded in the spring of 1989. It is a rough take with a very broken performance, but the sound is superb. Jason Everman, who paid for the production of “BLEACH” and was credited even though he didn’t play, is participating. The second one is a cover of Red Belly’s “Ain’t It A Shame.” Recorded in August 1989, “WITH THE LIGHTS OUT” also includes a take from the same session, but this work is a rough mix version. The drummer for this take is Mark Pickerell, also known as an original member of SCREAMING TREES. The last song is “Even In His Youth” recorded in September 1989. This is also a rough mix version of the “WITH THE LIGHTS OUT” recording session. This is a live album that further upgrades the leaked soundboard that far exceeds FM broadcasting, allowing you to experience the raw full show of the “BLEACH” era with the best sound. It’s a transcendent album that rivals that famous album “MANCHESTER 1989″… no, it might even surpass it. Live at U4, Vienna, Austria 22nd November 1989 Pre-FM Master Recording(70:22) 01. All other songs and between-song banter are present. From Nirvana Guide: Krist got involved with a bunch of drunks in the audience who were disrespecting women, prompting him to give a long speech about how he is a girl and a brief attempt at singing The Who’s “I’m A Boy.” Tad Doyle most likely played guitar on “Vendetagainst,” since Kurt invited him onstage to play and a guitar can be heard on circulating recordings (the song was normally played STEREO SOUNDBOARD RECORDING
