Description
NIGHT RANGER returned to Japan for the first time in two years with a complete reproduction of their masterpieces “DAWN PATROL” and “MIDNIGHT MADNESS.” The latest original recording, which will be the first report, will be released at the earliest. This work includes the “October 5, 2019: Mynavi BLITZ Akasaka” performance. Initially, there were only two performances in Tokyo at the Hitomi Memorial Auditorium, but since they were sold out, it was decided to add more performances. The Akasaka performance was on that additional day. This Japan tour is still in progress, so let’s first check the show position from the Japan schedule.・October 5: Mynavi BLITZ Akasaka ←★This work★ ・October 7: Hitomi Memorial Auditorium ・October 8: Hitomi Memorial Auditorium ・October 10: Amashin Archaic Hall [Only in this work [Exquisite original recording that you can’t listen to] There are 4 performances in total. By the time this article is published, they are still performing their final show in Tokyo. The Akasaka performance of this work was only three days ago, and you can understand that it is the fastest release. This work, which records such a show, is truly a masterpiece. It is an original master only for this work given by the recording artist himself, but the core is extremely thick and powerful, and the details are also vivid. It has a slight airy feel and the edges are rounded, so you won’t mistake it for a glaring soundboard, but it doesn’t give a sense of distance either. It is a masterpiece recording where you can fully feel the feeling of the narrow closed room of MyNavi BLITZ Akasaka, and the performance and singing voice come close to you. Moreover, the sense of stability is also excellent. If it’s that powerful, it wouldn’t be strange if the peaks of the drums and guitar were distorted or distorted, but this work doesn’t have that. Whether the thunderous drum hits explode or the entire band approaches in fortissimo, there is no slight distortion at the peak, and the glossy sound is uninterrupted. It is a work that you can understand at first listen that it is a taper that is horribly used to recording. [Not only a reproduction of the masterpiece, but also a full show with no gaps until the encore] The show drawn with that sound is, as predicted, a complete reproduction of the two great albums of the Golden Age, “DAWN PATROL” and “MIDNIGHT MADNESS.” In recent years, masterpiece album reproduction shows have become established, but it is rare to have two consecutive albums. Moreover, the show consists of two parts, and the first part is “DAWN PATROL”, which starts immediately after the show starts. And the second part, which starts with a break, is all of “MIDNIGHT MADNESS”. Both are complete reproductions with exactly the same song order. Normally, no matter how much the album is reproduced, there is a break-in number before and after the show that makes the show flow more naturally, but NIGHT RANGER does not have any. This is a feat that can only be attributed to the fact that these two great albums have such good songs and flows that even the album itself stands out. In this work, according to the concept of such a show, Disc 1 = “DAWN PATROL” edition and Disc 2 = “MIDNIGHT MADNESS” edition are recorded. What deviates from such a masterpiece reproduction is the encore. However, even here they were thorough. They perform only the title songs from their 3rd album “7 WISHES” to their 5th album “MAN IN MOTION” as if it were their calling card, and end with “Goodbye” to say goodbye. In other words, “all of the first and second albums” + “title songs of the third, fourth, and fifth albums” + “Goodbye.” I don’t like it so much that I can’t do it anymore. What’s more, even when you actually listen to it, there is no sense of an over-the-top concept, and the flow of the show surprisingly doesn’t feel out of place. It’s a live album that makes you wonder if they were writing songs in the 80’s in order to perform this show in the future. This performance in Japan featured a complete reproduction of two great albums, with a thorough attention paid to the encore. This is a live album that allows you to fully experience that first night with great sound. A masterpiece that condenses the golden 80’s into one show and allows you to enjoy the sound that combines power and beauty.
