Description

The Japanese performance of the “35TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR” just ended with great success. The live set that will be the definitive version is here. This work contains “October 7, 2017: Matsushita IMP Hall performance (Osaka)” and “October 9, 2017: Tokyo Dome City Hall performance”. Each is a four-disc set with two discs of the best audience recordings of the full show. I’m sure many of you have actually visited the show, so let’s first check the show’s position in the tour schedule. ・October 4: Hiroshima Club Quattro ・October 5: Nagoya Diamond Hall ・October 7: Matsushita IMP Hall [This work disc 1-2] ・October 8: Tokyo Dome City Hall ・October 9: Tokyo Dome City Hall [This work disc 3-4] All five performances. The other day, we just delivered the fastest and first report album “OSAKA 2017 (Shades 794)”, but discs 1-2 of this work are different recordings of the same show, and discs 3-4 of the Tokyo performance are the latest recordings of the last day in Japan. Both are live albums only available at our store, directly converted to CD from the original master handed over directly by the recorder himself. The quality is superb this time as well. The previous work “OSAKA 2017” was such a transcendent sound that I thought “it will be impossible to surpass that,” but how can you not? This work is not inferior at all. Moreover, it is surprising that both performances are superb. The previous work was a “complete sound board”, but the clarity and detail of this work are also completely five-fifths. Although the “sound” of the snare and bass drum has a slight customer recording-like feel, it can be called “just like a sound board”. Moreover, both performances. The show drawn with that quality is also delicious. “October 7: Osaka (Disc 1-2)” is “Greatest Hits + Latest Songs” as mentioned in the commentary of “OSAKA 2017”, but “October 7: Tokyo (Disc 3-4)” has changed the set completely. Of the 21 songs, 7 songs do not overlap. As a result, Tokyo has a lot more “fun”. “Truth” from the latest work “DON’T LET UP” was also featured, but more than that, they performed nostalgic numbers such as “This Boy Needs to Rock” and “Seven Wishes”, and also played covers of extracurricular activities such as DAMN YANKEES’ “Coming of Age”, Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out”, and Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train”. Furthermore, “This Boy Needs to Rock” also includes DEEP PURPLE’s “Highway Star”, making it a “fun” show. It seems that the rarity is more in Osaka, but “Penny” is the one who plays that role. Of course, it is a masterpiece from the debut album “DAWN PATROL”, and it is a scene that brings back memories of the first visit to Japan. A four-disc set that depicts the two performances in Osaka and Tokyo, where the set was changed significantly, with the best sound. This is a super entertainment album filled with 26 songs and 39 takes that are “good sound, good songs, good performance”. For those who want to “only see one performance”, we recommend the surprising sound of “OSAKA 2017”, but this work boasts the same quality as that masterpiece, and is a great value album with a large volume.
