Description
The ultimate live album of the early FLOYD reprint project has finally been born. This is the ultimate masterpiece of NICK MASON’S SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS, and it has been decided to release it on CD. We have introduced many live albums in our shop, but there is nothing better than this one in terms of sound and content. For SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS, who have no official works yet, this is truly the best masterpiece. It is the greatest masterpiece in history. This work contains the “April 13, 2019 Boston performance”. This is the ultimate matrix album. Until now, we have organized our collection on a daily basis for collectors, but this work is a super masterpiece that will be familiar to all kinds of rock fans. Since this is the best live album for the “first one”, let’s check the position of the show from the whole view of their activities so that it is easy for those who are experiencing this work for the first time to enter. ●2018 May 20-24: UK #1 (4 performances) ・September 2-21: Europe #1 (15 performances) ・September 23-29: UK #2 (6 performances) ●2019 March 12-April 22: North America (28 performances) ←★Here★ ・April 29-May 4: UK #3 (5 performances) >>Now here<< ・July 3-27: Europe #2 (15 performances) This is all the performances of SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS that have been announced. They have now finished their homecoming tour and are recharging for the summer continental European tour “Europe #2”. The archive of “UK #3” has already started, but the Boston performance where this work was recorded is the “North American” leg that preceded it. It was the 22nd performance of the latter period. This show has already been reported in “BOSTON 2019 (Amity 549)”, but this work is completely different. It is a live album that matrixes two completely different superb audience recordings. The quality is … so much that I’m worried about what words to use to describe it. Of course, the two original sources are superb, but the matching and editing are perfect. The core, details, sound, direct feeling … everything is perfect even if you check it from every perspective you can think of. This is really, really amazing. After all, the main character of this work is SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS. We have introduced about 40 live albums so far, but only two have reached the pressing stage. “PARIS OLYMPIA 2018 (Sigma 222)” and this work are the only ones. I think that you can understand the “height of the sound” just by that, but in fact it is more than that. In fact, PINK FLOYD fans are so conscious of “sound” that no one in the rock world can match them, and the audience recordings of SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS are also at the highest level. Nevertheless, the sound of this work cannot compete with such masterpieces, and it is dismissed as “different dimension”. It can be described as “like a sound board” or “official class audience”, but the more you describe it in words, the more you feel like you are degrading it. Even the highest peak of the rock world, the PINK FLOYD taper, realized a sound that could not be achieved with a single customer recording in the matrix … It is a transcendent sound of the highest peak in the rock world, more than the site. The sound quality alone is cultural heritage class, but the content of the show is also surprising. The “North American” leg of this work has more “Remember A Day” and “Childhood’s End” than “Europe # 1” of the previous press work “PARIS OLYMPIA 2018”, and it is a definitive set that covers all the repertoires that have been played live so far. I don’t know what kind of shows he is planning for the upcoming “Europe #2” and for 2020, but it is hard to imagine that Nick, who turned 75 this year, will perform a longer show than he is now. It is quite possible that he will replace the repertoire with a new one in search of novelty, but if he does that, songs other than the “This is it!” songs that were not originally envisioned for the project will be mixed in. Of course, everything is a matter of possibility, but it is likely that this work will be the end point reached by “expanding” rather than “replacing”. Although it has become a story that includes possibilities, this work even absorbs the weight of a history that has already been established. Of course, the entire work is filled with early FLOYD repertoire before “Madness”, but what is even more than that is actually the MC. After “Astronomy Domine”, Nick takes the microphone and talks about his memories of the Boston Tea Party performance where PINK FLOYD performed in 1970. And the performance is also apex. The definitive set, including the song order, was completed at the third performance in “North America” in San Francisco. The Boston performance of this work is the 20th performance since then, and the ensemble has reached a mature level. The matrix sound of another dimension, the largest set that poured all of the repertoire, and the performance that reached maturity … … From any point of view, it can only be thought that it will continue to reign as “the masterpiece of the early FLOYD project” and “the masterpiece of SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS”. To put it mildly, it is the ultimate and supreme live album that will undoubtedly continue to convey “Nick Mason’s 2019”, which fully expresses his feelings for the early FLOYD, to future generations. Wonderful. Too wonderful. Unlike the stage of Roger Waters and Dave Gilmour, who also performed solo numbers, Nick Mason was thoroughly committed to “pre-madness”. Not only the conceptual attitude, but also the ensemble and sound are “mastered” in this work, a live album. Unless an official live album appears … No, even if an official sound board appears, it will not be surpassed “extreme”.
