We have introduced 13 live items so far, but this work is not the latest recording. In fact, it is a live album of the Boston performance, which was the 22nd performance held about half a month ago. The reason why we are introducing it now is, of course, because it appeared late. In fact, recordings of this Boston performance appeared immediately afterwards, but unfortunately none of them reached the level that we will introduce. Perhaps because of that, audience recordings have continued to appear on the net since then. This work ended such a situation. It is a superb master that appeared half a month after the show’s performance. In fact, the sound of this work is wonderful. Although “PHILADELPHIA 2019”, released at the same time this week, has put a stop to the top race of North American recordings, this work is nominated class enough even if it is not a champion. In SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS, on-the-spot performance sounds and fine details are already commonplace. This work also holds down such merits, and even the glossy and rich sound is wonderful. The faint hall sound colors the core glossily, exquisitely depicting the illusion of early FLOYD. In fact, although the vocals are slightly lowered in balance, it is a story only possible with SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS, which is at the top of the rock world. If it were any other band, it would be clear enough to be called “like a sound board”, and it is a beautiful recording that is intoxicated by the beauty of the instruments produced by the modest hall sound. And even the mood of the scene is neat. Of course, it also absorbs the enthusiasm that is rising up grandly, but it is strangely far away from the cheers and there is almost no noise nearby. When the intro of each song begins, silence spreads like the ebb tide before a tsunami, and when the performance ends, the swell that has returned rises (distant but huge). The sound of this work is so neat that you can even feel the splashes of the tsunami, and yet it gives you a firm sense of the spectacle of the whole view. The presence of the audience and the beauty of the performance are well-balanced in total, making it a masterpiece recording. This is the strength of the younger generation. Because it surpasses the preceding recording, it will be talked about even if it appears late. It is a beautiful recording like a sample. This is one of the masterpieces that will further enrich the North American collection of SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS, which continues to evolve even today.
