Currently, they have progressed to their 9th show in Houston, and 1/3 of the North American tour has been completed. The highlights will be two performances in Los Angeles and New York. This work is the latest live album born from the second day in Los Angeles. This work, which records such a show, is truly the best. All three titles released simultaneously this week are of the highest quality, but this one is a half step ahead in the fierce race. The fact that all notes are clear is common to all three works, but the clearness of this work is amazing. Not only is each note clear, but the silence between the gaps is deep. Even with headphones, there is no hall noise, and the outline of the notes shines. Moreover, the core feels unattached. If you listen closely, you will notice that there is also venue acoustics, but you can only feel it in the color and luster of the tone, and that is the vividness of a sound board level. Furthermore, the audience noise is extremely minimal, so it’s scary. Of course, there was a huge round of applause between the songs, which clearly shows how much they are in demand these days. However, even though the sea of cheering is vast, no one can hear the voices that are close to them. Even when Nick’s jokes elicit laughter, each voice remains crisp and clear. It’s as beautiful as a carefully mixed official live album, yet the natural feel of a one-shot recording has no artificiality like the official version. While dealing with countless records, it is very rare to come across an “audience recording that is better than the official one”, and this work is a sample of that. In fact, the hall sound that dwells in “SAN FRANCISCO 2019” and “LOS ANGELES 2019 1ST NIGHT” also suits the sound world of early FLOYD, so it is difficult to discard. Each one is a masterpiece with no faults to be found. However, this work is definitely more soundboard-like and has a sound that will be loved by everyone. It’s not that there are no flaws; it only has strengths. It’s a super-excellent album that exudes elegance, and I’d give it a perfect score of 100 even if I used the subtraction method, or even 120 or 150 if I used the addition method. What is depicted with such exquisite and exquisite sound is a definitive masterpiece that has finally achieved a higher degree of perfection. The list of songs will be summarized in “SAN FRANCISCO 2019”, and the history so far will be explained in “LOS ANGELES 2019 1ST NIGHT”, but although the volume was larger than ever, it was a show that solidified the flow of “This is it!” . After 5 performances, the ensemble was starting to get going, and the current set was solidified in the San Francisco performance, and over the course of 3 consecutive days, they were able to get used to the flow, and since they were at the same venue, there was no need to travel. It’s an environment full of good things, and it’s amazing how they do their best to perform without any flaws. You can fully enjoy the whole story with the best sound that is more than a sound board. The longest set ever, seasoned performances, conditions that didn’t make you feel tired, and the best sound… I’ve reported on SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS through various live albums so far, but I can’t think of an album where everything is at such a high level. I would like you to touch on it as soon as possible. This is one of the best out of the five consecutively released works, and is the best masterpiece (to date) of the ever-evolving SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS.
