Description

This work includes “December 7, 1985 Slough Performance”. This is a stereo soundboard recording. 1985, the year they made their first visit to Japan, was the year of their “LOW-LIFE TOUR.” First, let’s check the show’s position from the overall picture. ・January 26th – February 6th: UK #1 (5 performances) ・March 14th – April 19th: UK #2 (6 performances) ・April 26th – May 4th: Asia (4 performances)・May 15th-23rd: Oceania (5 performances) ・June 14th-July 20th: UK #3 (3 performances) ・August 1st-23rd: North America (14 performances) ・10 Monday 22nd – December 7th: UK #4 (9 performances) ←★Coco★・December 10th – 17th: Europe (6 performances) This is the NEW ORDER of 1985. There are many ambiguous points in the records from that time, so the number of performances is not exact, but I think you can understand the general flow. Although the album “LOW-LIFE” was completed within 1984, it was not released until May. The legend’s first visit to Japan was just before that, but since then they have toured around the world, including Oceania and North America. The Slough performance of this work was a concert on the final day of “UK #4”, which made a triumphant return from such a world tour. This work, which records such a show, is the finest soundboard representing 1985. Although there is some roughness that causes howling on songs such as “State Of The Nation” and “Blue Monday,” the basic quality is official grade. Not only close contact, but also a vividly separated stereo effect, even the modest percussion of the horn has a three-dimensional core, the breath-like vocals, and a glossy sound with no chatter or distortion.Everything is beautiful. It is a super high quality product that can be officially released as is if there is no howling in a few places. The show drawn with that sound is the true essence of NEW ORDER. Perhaps because of equipment trouble, their first visit to Japan was not highly rated in the music magazines at the time, but this work is different. The ensemble, which has toured Oceania and North America, is well-versed and has an outstanding sharpness and rhythm. Of course, there is no sense of instability as if troubles are distracting him, and his boldness, supported by the enthusiasm of his home country, is dazzling. Unfortunately, it is not a full show with about 70 minutes of recording, but there are still plenty of famous songs that you can’t listen to. Early versions of the single “Confusion” and “State Of The Nation” and “Weirdo” that will be included in the next album “BROTHERHOOD” (the lyrics are not yet complete). Furthermore, you can also enjoy “She’s Lost Control” from the JOY DIVISION era on the official-class superb sound board. NEW ORDER showed off their true potential with a passionate performance in their home country of England. This is its official stereo soundboard album.
