Description

An original recording by the famous Kinney, who is shaking NEW ORDER enthusiasts around the world with the world’s first public release master. Speaking of “Kinney’s NEW ORDER”, we have delivered shocking works such as “TOKYO 1985” and “TOKYO 1987 2ND NIGHT” that surprised even enthusiasts, but this time the shock is on a different level. It is a live album of a “phantom Japanese performance” that is not listed on tour dates or in the archive data of researchers. What’s more, the phantom show was held on May 3, 1985, during the legendary first visit to Japan, and is an exquisite audience recording recorded at the disco “CLUB-D” that once existed somewhere in Tokyo. is. Speaking of their first visit to Japan, in addition to the official video “PUMPED FULL OF DRUGS”, there is also Kinney’s masterpiece “TOKYO 1985” that I introduced the other day, so let’s organize it by schedule.・May 1st: Shinjuku Employees’ Pension Hall “TOKYO 1985” ・May 2nd: Shinjuku Employees’ Pension Hall Official “PUMPED FULL OF DRUGS” ・May 3rd: CLUB-D ←★This work★ ・May 4th :Osaka Welfare Pension Hall 4 performances in total. Up until now, it was thought that there would be one day free after the two performances in Tokyo, but it was actually four consecutive days. Of course, even though we say “phantom”, we do not mean to make it up on our own. Photos of the day’s flyers are available online, and T-shirts and goods featuring the designs are also on sale. “CLUB-D” is also a store that actually existed, and above all, Kinney’s staff actually visited and recorded. Of course, the content is different from any other show, but it is definitely filled with the breath of Japan. This work, which records such a “phantom Japanese performance”, is of course Kinney’s original master, which will be released for the first time worldwide. The sound is the best this time too. The “Kinney magic” that gives you the vividness and sense of space that is typical of audience recording, and is extremely clear down to the details, is alive and well in this work. Of course, the freshness unique to the master cassette is also tremendous. If you have caught your eye on this work, you probably already know its taste from “TOKYO 1985” and “TOKYO 1987 2ND NIGHT,” but this work also has a great sense of privacy in a narrow club. The size of the hall is clearly different from that of the Welfare Pension Hall, and it feels like a closed room with NEW ORDER playing right in front of you, and the audience is packed with discerning Western music fans who have been paying attention to NEW ORDER from an early stage. . The enthusiasm was much hotter than at other venues, and at the beginning of “The Perfect Kiss,” the female audience member said, “I can see a little. Jump jump!” It was very realistic. It seems like the equipment wasn’t in top condition on this day either, but within a short period of time people were shouting, “What’s going on?”, and when the performance actually started, there was a roar of applause (I’d like to add just in case) , this work is not the type to be bothered by screaming (at all!) The basics are Kinney’s miracle sound, and the sounds of the audience that are subtly absorbed into it are strangely real… What will be performed at such a secret show is a show full of special feeling even if it is the first time visiting Japan. First, let’s organize the set… ●POWER, CORRUPTION & LIES (4 songs)・Your Silent Face, 5 8 6, The Village, Leave Me Alone ●LOW-LIFE (3 songs)・The Perfect Kiss , Sooner Than You Think, This Time Of Night ●Other singles (3 songs + α) Ceremony, Temptation, Blue Monday, Confusion… and so on. It is divided into three equal parts: “POWER, CORRUPTION & LIES” and “LOW-LIFE” + single songs, and the contents are really interesting. “Sooner Than You Think” and “Confusion” that could not be heard in “TOKYO 1985” also catch my ear, but the contrast with the official video “PUMPED FULL OF DRUGS” is rather vivid. As mentioned above, this work is the day after “PUMPED FULL OF DRUGS”, but the set has changed whether it was conscious of that. Only three songs “This Time Of Night,” “Blue Monday,” and “Confusion” overlap, and the other eight songs are all different. You can enjoy this set alone as “Back: PUMPED FULL OF DRUGS”, but this show was also an incident just like the first day. As mentioned earlier, the equipment was not working well on this day, and the show was frequently interrupted. All of the early songs, such as “The Perfect Kiss,” “Sooner Than You Think,” and “5 8 6,” lag in the intros and have a hard time moving on to the performance. After that, it seemed like they were able to recover, but they reached their limit with the closing song, “Blue Monday.” Before the performance, the voices of “Go drink a beer!! (foreign guests)” and “I want to drink beer too (female guests)” were heard, but when the performance started, it seemed very suspicious, and perhaps sensing something unusual, “( The audience can be heard murmuring, “The performance might stop.” Then, it suddenly stopped, as if the electricity had actually gone out. Of course, this situation caused an uproar at the scene. “What are you doing?” and “Cancelled!? Cancelled!?”, and the sound of equipment being adjusted rang out. “Confusion” started without much delay and I thought everything was fine, but the performance stopped completely with the intro of “Temptation”. Although he managed to return to playing, the show ended there. It would be shocking just to say that it was the world’s first film to be released in Japan, but this work is much more than that. “CLUB-D’s Night” was an illusion in itself, and its contents were also an incident. This is a miraculous live album that completely records the scene with the best Kinney sound. Of course it’s special for us Japanese people, but enthusiasts and researchers from all over the world are sure to be stunned as well. A seismic work with a seismic intensity of 7 that shook the entire world in every sense of the word. Live at Club-D, Tokyo, Japan 3rd May 1985 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) (70:37) 1. Your Silent Face 2. The Perfect Kiss *Staggering during the performance intro At the beginning, the women say, “I can see a little.Jump “Jump!” After the performance, “It’s hot~” 3. Sooner Than You Think *It’s slow during the intro 4. 5 8 6 *This also seems like the equipment isn’t working properly during the intro. 5. The Village 6. Leave Me Alone 7. This Time Of Night 8. Ceremony 9. Blue Monday At the beginning, the woman says, “I want to drink beer too.” The timing is good and it has quite an impact. At 1 minute and 10 seconds, “It’s over.
