In 2025, the band’s first performance in nine years and only two in Japan, the first day of the tour, February 25th, at Zepp Namba in Osaka, was recorded in full, including the rehearsal, all from an intercepted source of an in-ear monitor. First of all, this is the original master of the IEM sound source used by Bernard Sumner, which was intercepted at the venue on the day, and it was recorded without any mix balance errors that are common with IEM intercepts, and the counts and clicks were not very noticeable, so it was almost comparable to a stereo sound board. And the live performance, which can be heard with such superb sound, includes songs from the Joy Division era, “Transmission,” “Isolation,” “Atmosphere,” and “Love Will Tear Us Apart,” as well as songs from the golden age of the 1980s, “Aesthetics of Power,” and “Brotherhood,” as well as the latest single “Be A Rebel,” and the works that summarize their career were performed one after another, making it a night of tears for fans of the past. What’s more, about 30 minutes of the rehearsal footage from the day has been added as a bonus IEM recording, and you can even hear the full performance of “Love Less,” which wasn’t performed during the actual show, making this a truly Japan-only memorial item.
