This is the first release of a precious live recording of Mountain, led by Leslie West, a pioneer of American hard rock! The performance at the Boston Orpheum Theater on November 28, 1971, just before the band disbanded as a four-piece lineup consisting of Pappalardi, Corky Laing, and Steve Knight, was recorded with a high-quality audience recording master. Although it does not include the entire concert, from the big song “Nantucket Sleighride” to their favorite R&R number “Roll Over Beethoven” to the final song “Mississippi Queen,” this rare live recording vividly captures the passionate performance of the time, and is a must-listen for fans! 01.
