Description

On November 11, 2015, “Filthy Animal” Taylor passed away. In memory of Filthy, who was the backbone of MOTORHEAD and produced extremely wild rock’n’roll, we present to you the soundboard album of MOTORHEAD’s last live performance in which he was a member. This work was recorded at “March 28, 1992 Irvine Performance”, which was a live performance where he opened for Ozzy Osbourne with UGLY KID JOE. Actually, MOTORHEAD is not touring at this time. MOTORHEAD, who performed on the “1916 TOUR” until December 1991, was in the process of producing their next album “MARCH OR DIE”, and on August 30, 1992, the first day of the next “MARCH OR DIE TOUR”, they returned to the drum stool. Mickey Dee was sitting there. The detailed production schedule for “MARCH OR DIE” has not been communicated, but it takes about an hour and a half by car between “Music Grinder Studio,” where the album was made, and “Irvine Meadows,” the venue for that day. Probably, during the production of the “MARCH OR DIE” album, it was a friendship appearance as an opening act for Ozzy who visited on tour, and as a result, it was Filthy’s last live. Fortunately, that last live was recorded on a soundboard. That is what this work is. The sound is glaring and exquisite. Although howling may occur here and there, there are no other flaws, and you can hear Philthy’s final brave appearance perfectly with official-grade super sound. Although it is an undercard of only 8 songs, the drumming cannot be impressed by old fans. Of course, Mickey Dee is also a powerful drummer who will not tarnish MOTORHEAD’s name, but his wild and wild beating style is unique to Filthy. In particular, “Ace Of Spades”, which rushes at explosive speed at the very end……this is, after all, this. This is such a shitty feeling! Furthermore, this work also includes “I Ain’t No Nice Guy” by “MARCH OR DIE” as a bonus to calm the heart that was aflame after the frenzied “Ace Of Spades”. In fact, this song is the last song Filthy left for MOTORHEAD. There is no official drummer credit on the “MARCH OR DIE” album, but Phil Campbell later revealed that Tommy Aldridge played most of the drums. Mickey Dee only hit “Hellraiser” and Filthy only hit “I Ain’t No Nice Guy.” This song, which was Filthy’s last MOTORHEAD recording, featured Slash playing the lead guitar as a guest guitarist, and Ozzy also did a duet with Lemmy. While Lemmy and Ozzy calmly sing, “I’m not a good guy,” Filthy cuts in dynamically, and the guitar solo echoes with the voice of “Hey, Slash!!”… It’s not a rare official take, but I recorded it because I wanted you to listen to it to remember Filthy as a beast of a beast. Worzel, who plays the guitar in this work, has already passed away, and Lemmy is also suffering from illness. Meanwhile, Philthy passed away. It’s been 23 years since I left MOTORHEAD, and I never thought I’d come back now, and when I went on MOTORHEAD’s stage last November, I didn’t play the drums, I just said hello. But, but, I wanted Remy to spank me from behind, just once. With that feeling in mind, I present you this piece. Lastly, here are some words from friends who have heard of Filthy’s death. “My dear, dear friend and brother passed away last night. He had been ill for a long time, but that didn’t mean I was prepared for it. I’ve been friends with Phil since we were 21. He was an amazing guy. We were lucky enough to know each other and make some great music together. We have so many precious memories. Rest in peace, Phil.” Clark: What a great loss. Filthy was a great friend, a great drummer, and a hell of a nice guy. I miss him. What a sad day. Rest in peace, Filthy. He owes me $500. Ozzy Osbourne: “Lil Filthy…He screamed ‘Don’t flinch’ on his album…He taught a bunch of kids how to do punk and metal hairstyles…He showed anger and determination… He was on the drums…He loved calling people ‘idiots’…Dapper, good guy, Derbyshire man. Rest in peace. I love you.” Live at Irvine Meadows , Irvine, CA. USA 28th March 1992 STEREO SBD MOTORHEAD (38:52) 1. Dr. Rock 2. I’ll Be Your Sister 3. No Voices In The Sky 4.
