Description

MOTLEY CRUE burst onto the world stage in 1984 on the strength of their appearance at the US Festival. A new excavation live album set that conveys the scene is now available. Included in this work are “August 18, 1984 Donington Performance” and “September 1 Karlsruhe Performance”. This is a 2-disc set containing the finest audience recordings of 2 performances of “MONSTERS OF ROCK” which evolved into a festival tour. When you hear “1984” and “MONSTERS OF ROCK,” some of you may be reminded of our masterpieces “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1984 VOL.1” and “MONSTERS OF ROCK IN GERMANY 1984 VOL.1,” but this is a completely new discovery. . Although it is the same performance, it is a completely different recording that surpasses the existing group. Before we look at the quality, first of all, the position of the show. At that time, they were in the middle of selling, but this is extremely historic among the successes of this work. In order to explain its meaning, let’s take a look back at the panoramic view of the “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL Tour,” which spread its wings around the world. 1983, March 26th – April 3rd: North America #1 (6 performances), May 29th: US Festival appearance, September 3rd – 17th: North America #2 (3 performances)《September 26th “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL” released》 October 31st – December 16th: North America #3 (28 performances) ← *SAN ANTONIO 1983 1984 January 10th – March 24th: North America #4 (52 performances) ) ・April 12th – June 15th: North America #5 (38 performances) ・August 18th – September 7th: Europe #1 (7 performances) ←★This work★ ・October 15th – November 19th: Europe #2 (23 performances) This is MOTLEY CRUE in 1983/1984. They quickly gained popularity at the US festival and released “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL”. We will begin our invasion of the world. His main destination was his home country of America, but he moved to Europe in the summer of 1984 for “Europe #1.” This “Europe #1” is the “MONSTERS OF ROCK Tour”, and the Donington performance is the first day and the Karlsruhe performance is the third performance. In other words, this is MOTLEY CRUE’s first overseas performance and their third live album. This work, recorded at such two performances, is a new recording that is the latest excavation as mentioned above and updates the highest peak ever. Both performances were recorded by the same person, and this is a new version of Bikkabika that Taper himself digitized this year. It was his first appearance and suddenly he appeared in the Ultimate Gene. The biggest point is the fierce clarity and direct feeling. It’s not the type that can be mistaken for a sound board in terms of tone, but since both performances were held outdoors, the core with zero echo jumps into your ears like a laser beam. Of course, being outdoors doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be a great recording, and especially in the 80’s, the performance of PA was completely different from today’s, so it’s not surprising that it would be sparse. However, there is no such worry in this work, the sound emitted by the PA is picked up neatly, and you can clearly enjoy the bass line. To express a comparison for those who have the existing group, the Donnington performance is close to “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1984 VOL.1”, but this work has slightly better mid-to-treble extension. Regarding the Karlsruhe performance, this work is much clearer. This new master depicts two performances in which the passion of young MOTLEY CRUE, who crossed the ocean for the first time, explodes. Both songs concentrate early masterpieces in a running time of around 45 minutes. Since they are the same set, let’s organize them together. Brilliant passion (2 songs) Piece Of Your Action/Live Wire Shout at the Devil (7 songs + α) Side A: Bastard/Shout At The Devil/Looks That Kill/Helter Skelter Side B: Knock’ Em Dead Kid/Ten Seconds To Love (★)/Red Hot (★) *Note: Songs marked with a “★” were not heard at the “US Festival”. …and it looks like this. As expected, there are no extremely rare songs unique to this work since it is a short set for a festival, but there is a strong initial feeling where songs such as “Bastard”, “Knock ‘Em Dead Kid” and “Piece Of Your Action” are played in quick succession. Of course, as they were still in their early 20s, there was no way they would feel tired during a set that lasted less than 50 minutes, and they sprinted along with all their might in front of tens of thousands of people. This is a live album full of exhilaration that feels like watching a 100m run, rather than a slow and fast marathon or middle distance. Even so, it is hard to believe that such a recording has remained unknown for 37 years. How many hidden treasures are still sleeping on this earth? This new excavation will make you feel excited. Newly discovered audience recordings of “August 18, 1984 Donington performance” and “September 1 Karlsruhe performance”. Both performances have already been released, but this work is a completely separate recording. The master is extremely fresh as it was released digitally by Taper himself, and since it is outdoors, the sound emitted by the PA is clearly picked up with no echo, and the bright core like a laser beam jumps into your ears. . The “MONSTERS OF ROCK Tour” is also MOTLEY CRUE’s first overseas performance, and you can experience two performances where the ferocious excitement is at full speed without letting up.
