Description

Mott the Hoople’s debut dates back to 1969. Although they were known for their destructive live performances and had some cult fans, they were unable to achieve commercial success in terms of record sales and decided to disband in 1972. However, David Bowie heard the news and offered to provide and produce the songs, and the band continued. As a result, their biggest hit song, “All the Young Bastards,” was born, and the band aimed to re-emerge. However, even after that, the band continued to have members leave and join, and the band was never stable. Immediately after the beginning of 1973, Varden Allen left the group, and a successor was not immediately found, forcing the group to operate as a four-member group. Mick Ralphs then left the band and formed Bad Company. As expected, the band could not survive without a guitarist, and Luther Grosvenor joined as a substitute, and Morgan Fisher and Mick Bolton joined in place of Allen, and the band finally became a five-piece band. By the way, Morgan Fisher is currently living in Japan as of 2019. However, Mick Bolton, Luther Grosvenor, and even Ian Hunter left the band the following year, and they were finally forced to disband in 1974. After that, the remaining members changed the band name and continued, but MOTT THE HOOPLE’s activities effectively ended in 1974. This work is a high-quality complete recording of Mott the Hoople’s live performance in Boston on October 27, 1973, who have carved their name in the history of glam rock despite their not-so-long active period. This is the title of the recording. Orpheum Theater Boston MA U.S.A. October 27, 1973 01. Jupiter 02. Driving Sister 03. Sucker 04. Sweet Jane 05. Hymn For The Dudes 06. All The Way From Memphis 07.
