Description
This is a complete recording of the Modern Jazz Quartet (Milt Jackson, John Lewis, Percy Heath, Connie Kaye)’s performance at Studio 105 Maison de la Radio in Paris, France on October 3, 1966, using the finest stereo soundboard recordings broadcast locally in recent years. This live performance was recorded in the same year as CONCERT IN JAPAN, which was released only in Japan on March 14, 1966, the final day of their second visit to Japan, and is a great live performance with a sequel-like content that includes unreleased numbers. You can enjoy the rare live performance of the MJQ, who gained popularity for their consistently cool, chamber music-like jazz, centered around Milt Jackson’s vibraphone, without using any wind instruments, with the finest sound.
