Description

On January 22nd, the first day of the 1975 Japan tour, the CD was digitally remastered from the stereo soundboard master in perfect condition and can be declared as the “definitive version” of the live performance at the Tokyo Employees’ Pension Hall. . Although it has been released many times in the past, it is said that it is impossible to talk about Miles without hearing this as a permanent classic, and it is a miraculous gem that is a must-hear for not only jazz fans but also rock and all music fans. First of all, the quality is said to be better than the official releases from the same period, such as “Agartha” and “Pangaea.” In particular, the sound balance of all members and the detailed instrument sounds are clearly reproduced. After a long warm-up, Miles introduced the song with the organ and started the song with “Prelude”. Then, in the following “Maiysha”, Henderson’s strong bass was followed by Miles’ exquisite ballad, and after the excitement, Cozy burst in. Furthermore, Reggie Lucas carved a tremendous cut in “Ife”, and in the second half, he and Miles became the main two, creating an unusual excitement. Afterwards, even as the band continued to speed toward the end with Lucas’ cutting as its core, and became chaotic, Foster’s crashing drums and Mtume’s exotic percussion kept the band’s sound, and Miles’ high notes pierced the groove. This architectural beauty is developed until the end. As one of the must-hear performances that summarize the 70’s “Electric Miles”, this performance, which is familiar to fans, has been given 24-bit digital remastering to the stereo soundboard master that will appear for the first time. Removed the sound shaking that frequently occurs in “Prelude” etc., which is the biggest problem with the title. In addition, since we use the freshest and highest quality masters, we have remastered the sound quality to create a deep and extremely vivid sound that directly conveys the realism of the live performance.
