Description

This was the second visit to Paris following July 1973. As 1973 drew to a close, guitarist Pete Cosey began to establish himself and guitar solos were also featured heavily. Inspired by Pete Cosey’s rumbling guitar, this performance, which is famous for its passionate performance, has several soundboard recordings. Unfortunately, all of the recordings were missing something, the announcements overlapped, the sound quality was poor, or there were other problems, so it was impossible to follow the entire concert with just one of them. Meanwhile, in 2020, a complete version was released, patched together by an overseas collector. This is the recording used as the master here. However, of course, it is not the same as it is, but the patched sound source was once disassembled, and the optimal equalization and noise reduction were applied separately, and the re-mastering work was carried out, which was mind-boggling. This has made the sound quality difference between each sound source closer, and the seams are even less noticeable. In addition, some of the French announcements were carefully re-edited and removed. This is an item that allows you to enjoy the band performance for the first time, almost throughout the entire performance. However, it is not a shiny soundboard sound source, and Source C, which makes up most of “TURNAROUNDPHRASE”, is not a sound quality suitable for beginners. However, it is definitely the definitive version of the sound source of this day, and we hope you will add it to your new collection. A bonus disc is included. The content is a video of the concert, recorded from a French television broadcast. It is not a full set, and there are some overlapping announcements, and the sound quality of the main CD is better, but it is a great bonus that allows you to enjoy valuable performance scenes with a reasonable quality despite being black and white. * The bonus disc does not have a menu screen, but the chapters are cut.
