Description
The performance at East Rutherford on July 4th during the US tour, which became a full-scale comeback tour in 1982, was recorded with a good audience master and the latest digital remastering in 2025. Although the recording time is a little short at 50 minutes, this is all the remaining sound source, and it is a rare performance that has hardly been distributed in the past, and by correcting the live performance with balance adjustments, both can be said to be the best quality at present. And after about a 5-year hiatus, the tour by the so-called “Come Back Band” was also a time when the condition of the band, including Miles, was improving considerably, and although the performance only included four long songs, the selection of songs from “The Man With The Horn” was a rare composition for this period, mainly solo improvisation. Among them, Miles was slightly off, and Mike Stern played crisp rhythms and elegant solo phrases, and Marcus’ strong bass was still intense, making this a record that allows you to re-recognize the greatness of 80’s Miles.
