Description
This is a broadcast sound source from the 1989 JVC Jazz Festival. It is relatively rare to start with “IN A SILENT WAY”. It is a short performance time compared to the long 1987 version that spanned three CDs, but this is probably a full set. I would say it is a festival specification. Since it is a radio sound source, the basic sound quality is good, but there is a noise that feels like “drop, drop” here and there. According to the taper notes, it was because there was reception interference due to a thunderstorm passing through the transmission area at the time. However, it is not a level that is so bothersome, and the parts that are bothersome have been eliminated by editing. You may think, “Well, I don’t need to write it down one by one,” but I have written it down in advance because my motto is to be honest and explain. The DJ talk that was included in the master was cut. Furthermore, the interview with Ricky Wellman that was in the opening was moved to the end as a bonus. The talk that was included in the latter half of this interview, which was like a promotion for the radio station, was also cut and edited, making it a good item that is only about Miles.
