This three-disc set features a 19-track audience recording of a live performance at the Palais des Sports in Caen, a city in northwestern France, on February 22nd, the third day of Miles Davis’ 1988 European tour, the year before the release of his final album, “Amandola.” The Caen concert was released over 20 years ago, but was based on a heavily deteriorated tape, resulting in many missing tracks and significant hum noise, leading to its early discontinuation. This release utilizes two confirmed master recordings, resolving the issues and significantly reducing the intense hum, resulting in a product that can be listened to with peace of mind. The 1988 tour consisted of only three days in Europe in February, including this performance, before moving to the United States, where the American tour began in April.
