Description
It’s finally here. This is a long-awaited title. Since around last year (2021), Miles fans have been hearing rumors that “Kind of Blue sessions will be released soon.” Sorry to keep you waiting, fans. The session collection of the super-famous “Kind of Blue,” which will be ranked on the fingers of both hands not only in jazz history but also in the music history of mankind, is finally here. The original is the masterpiece “Making of Kind of Blue (2CD)”. It has been re-edited and reconstructed to appear as a “new” title. The chapter positions have been re-edited, and the “beep” buzzer sound at the beginning and the “rejected” noises in several places have been cut, making it even easier to listen to. Another major change this time is that after the session of each song is completed, a separate mixed version of each completed take is added. This alternate mix version is quite mid-range and has almost no hiss noise compared to the official release, and although it is less clear, it has a warmer tone. The left and right separation of each instrument is closer to the center, and the sound pressure is tighter than in the official version. This alternate mix version is of course a selling point, but this additional recording has created a documentary that shows the final form after a trial and error session. There is also an official Kind of Blue box set, but this title is an item with a completely different purpose. Whether you have the official box set or not, and whether you have the aforementioned “Making of Kind of Blue”, this is definitely a must-have collection item.
