Description
From the 1983 Euro Tour, the evening show at the Berlin Philharmonic on October 29th, Germany, was recorded in official quality, stereo soundboard sound source. This is a live recording that was aired for the first time in history on the German FM program “Late Night Jazz” in 2014, and this precious sound source was recorded directly, and the stereo feeling and separation are at a level that can be officially released as it is. The live performance mainly consisted of songs from “Star People” released in the same year, and the performance featured a distinctive groove from the album numbers “Star People” and “It Gets Better” to the last song “Jean Pierre”. This year, Mike Stern left the band, and the bass was replaced by Daryl Jones from Marcus Miller, and it was a time of intense comings and goings, but Miles’ sharp and piercing solo was crisp, and Bill Evans’ soprano also flew off from the opening. Darryl’s heavy bass and Scofield’s elegant solo are also wonderful, and this is one of the best live performances of 1983, with the highest quality. 1. SPEAK 2. STAR PEOPLE 3. WHAT IT IS 4.
