Description

Miles Davis’ turbulent 70s, especially the two concerts that marked the end of 1973, surprised everyone with the sudden and evil transformation of the Miles Band! What on earth happened to Miles in less than a month? The Rotterdam and London concerts, which have been revived with amazing high sound quality, and the London band recordings, have been updated! ! Music that is unlike anyone else’s, music that no one has ever played before, a unique existence that still exists in a different world, that is Miles and his group in the 1970s! And the coolest (live) performance was from 1973 to the Sao Paulo performance in 1974, when Dave Liebman left the band. Among them, the Berlin performance on November 1, 1973 will be forever talked about as a miraculous night (I’m sure). In Miles’ case, he never did the same thing, but always played with something different in mind. However, when he got the sound he wanted, he would abandon it without any hesitation and search for the next sound. That’s what makes Miles so cool! After the miraculous night in Berlin, Miles clearly changed. First, he included “Prelude” from “Agartha” in 1975’s “Agartha” and “Pangaea,” which had only been performed a few times before, and “For Dave,” which had never been in the style of the previous songs, in the live set, and even for the same songs, he boldly changed the arrangement every day, heading straight for Miles’ thorny path. Well, Miles aside, the band members were unbearable. However, the work of the members who were trained by this was amazing! And what is remarkable about the Miles group after Berlin is that it changed into a somewhat suspicious, somewhat morbid sound. The most notable live performance was the live performance at the Rainbow Theater in London on November 19, 1973, which was the last and final performance in 1973. The sound was quite good because it was originally a master recording of the band, but the sound quality was difficult to hear depending on the instrument, but this has been almost improved, and this updated title, which can be said to be the definitive version of this sound source, is now available! The set list is almost the same, but the arrangements for each song are quite different. However, even the “Prelude,” which was only performed at the Rainbow concert, was performed at a significantly slower tempo than on other days. It is a common theory for this type of sound that the slower the tempo, the more morbid the atmosphere becomes. However, with Miles’ heavy use of organ, trumpet phrases, Dave’s saxophone and flute, and Pete’s guitar, the approach to the songs is clearly different from about a month ago.
