Description
The previously released version had a muffled sound, and the last “Ife” faded out in the middle of Dave Liebman’s solo, starting with the infamous 1974 Keystone Corner. The much anticipated Gi Label has unearthed a completely new source! Not only has the sound quality been significantly improved, but the pitch is normal, and the final Liebman solo is more than three minutes longer, making this the first definitive version to be released! The strongest rhythm section in the 1970s electric Miles was Al Foster, Michael Henderson, Reggie Lucas, and Mtume, and the best lineup was Pete Cosey, with Dave Liebman on sax. However, this lineup, which has continued since 1973, became even darker in 1974, and the super heavy funk rhythms became darker, and the early Funkadelic was also faltering, and the morbid smell of the band was strong. It reached its peak in 1975 at the Japan concert, and Miles’ music had risen to a certain extreme, becoming a genre in itself, with nothing to compare to it. It was during this period in Sao Paulo, when Liebman left in 1974. After that, Liebman left and Sonny Fortune joined, and the band took a little time to settle down, and the culmination of the 1975 Japan concert was the definitive performance of the legendary Sao Paulo concert, and other performances tend to be neglected, but all of the recordings released so far, except for the “Keystone” in this work, are excellent and popular with fans. The sound quality was so bad that it was impossible to tell what was being played except for Miles’ trumpet, and there was almost nothing to praise about the Keystone Corner performance in San Francisco from April 16th to 21st, 1974 (exact date unknown). However, a completely new master has been discovered and the sound quality has been improved by more than three ranks, and the last part of “Ife” is recorded for more than three minutes, and Liebman’s solo is recorded in its entirety. This is the definitive version that has not been released yet! ! As for the performance, it is no exaggeration to say that it is a prelude to the Sao Paulo performance, which will reach its climax one month later. The entire performance is already spectacular! Liebman was especially sharp on this day!
