Description

Miles’ legendary Fillmore sound source was released on a real stereo soundboard recording of a live performance at Fillmore West in San Francisco on October 17, 1970. This Fillmore West performance on October 17 was released about 20 years ago, but of course it is out of print now. The new version uses a different, fresher real stereo master, and the main board is clearly clearer and has a clearer sound outline. In addition, the level does not drop in the middle of the song. Miles’ trumpet, Keith Jarrett’s electric piano, and organ are perfectly separated to the left and right, and the three-dimensional sound image gives anyone who listens to it goosebumps and intoxicates them with the avant-garde atmosphere. The third track, “WHAT I SAY,” ends with a fade-out, but it features Keith Jarrett’s performance for about 10 seconds longer. This is a long-awaited release of an overwhelmingly historic recording that even fans who only have the previously released version (and even more so for maniacs) will be unable to resist. There is a slight noise from 8 minutes 30 seconds into the first track, but this is due to the original tape.
