San Luis Obispo is a city in San Luis Obispo County, southern California, United States, located along the Pacific Central Coast between San Francisco and Los Angeles, and is known as one of the oldest towns in the state, and one of the oldest in the United States. It is said to be the happiest city. It was held at the main gym of California State Polytechnic University in the city, and Richard Patterson, who can sing on bass, and Erin Davis, Miles’ son and percussionist, joined in for the second time (although they had performed for the first time the day before). Although it is not a complete recording of the April 20, 1990 live performance of the new Miles Davis Group (for some reason, John Bigham participated on this day), it is over an hour and a half long and has a good balance.
