This is a high-quality live performance of Mike Stern and Randy Brecker’s newly formed band at the Estival Jazz, a summer jazz festival held in Switzerland on July 7th, 2017, which is a regular event in Europe. A two-disc set that fans will love has been released. On drums, former Return to Forever member Lenny White and long-time Mike Stern friend Tamar Fell are on bass. The songs performed on the day ranged from Mike Stern’s originals to Jimi Hendrick’s “Red House” and Miles Davis’ “Jean Pierre,” and many other interesting classics were performed.
