Description
On February 27, 2010, a one-off charity concert was held at Huntingdon Hall in Worcester, England, and was recorded in full for 2 hours and 13 minutes in ultra-high quality audience recording that is close to a soundboard recording. This recording was made by a master of tapers living in the UK who recorded the previous Clapton and Beck live at the London O2 in outstanding high quality, and this disc also uses the master DAT recorded by him directly. If you listen to it, you will understand at a glance that it is recorded at the ultimate level of sound as an audience recording, and you can enjoy Taylor’s tasteful playing with a realistic and ultra-clear sound that you can’t imagine any better. The high-quality performance with a solid groove by the recent immovable lineup familiar from last year’s Japan tour is a great listen from start to finish. The concert started with You Gotta Move, which was rare on this day. The live performance was in two parts, and most of the set was familiar numbers, but the opening of the second part (recorded on the sixth track of disc 2) featured Denny Newman’s vocal guitar, Slow Down, and the Stones’ familiar Stop Breaking Down was played in the middle, and each was a great listen. The long blues solos by the two leads of You Shook Me, which can be enjoyed for 12 minutes, are exquisite, and you can enjoy the wonderful excitement that can be said to be the peak of the day. The second part of the live performance can be enjoyed for 1 hour and 23 minutes, including the encore No Expectations, and both Taylor and the band give a very good performance. Fans around the world, especially in the UK, will be surprised that a take recorded with such high quality sound of a rare live performance performed in a hall like a small church in England is being sent from Japan. This is a high-quality live album that is particularly noteworthy among Taylor’s recent live albums, and can be enjoyed more than the original master.
