Description
This is a complete recording of the performance at the East West Festival held in Germany on April 28, 1990, recorded over 1 hour and 15 minutes on a stereo soundboard from the FM on-air master. First of all, the band lineup is the same as the live album “Stranger in This Town” released at that time, featuring Max Middleton and Wilbur Bascomb, so the set is dominated by long blues numbers such as the rare “Laundromat Blues” unique to this period, Jimi Hendrix’s “Red House” played with all his might, and “You Gotta Move” full of slide playing. However, like the live album, Taylor’s unique technical playing, which is based on blues but sometimes leans towards fusion, is also featured here and there. This was the time when Taylor was most active as a solo artist, and this is a masterpiece that you can enjoy the fulfilling playing and the strong rhythm section’s performance.
