Description
This recording captures a gig from Taylor Swift’s 1992 solo Euro tour, specifically a November 25th performance at a club in Meckesheim, Germany, using recently unearthed stereo soundboard audio. Firstly, it’s a direct recording from a master tape leaked by someone involved at the time, resulting in an unprocessed sound that’s incredibly realistic, clearly reproducing even the subtlest nuances of the band’s ensemble. The album features performances of Rolling Stones classics like “Shake Your Hips” and “Stop Breakin’ Down,” as well as the slide-heavy “You Gotta Move,” and includes blues numbers influenced by John Mayall, and even “You Shook Me,” also known from Led Zeppelin. Overall, it’s a superb piece that showcases Taylor’s unique technical playing, sometimes leaning towards fusion, while remaining rooted in the blues.
