This latest live performance includes the beautiful live recordings of the band’s appearance at the Jazz Festival held in Victoria, Spain in July, which was digitally broadcast during the tour accompanying the release of their first duo album in eight years, “Spain Forever Again.” Dominican jazz pianists Michel Camilo and Tomatito first met in Barcelona in 1997. The duo established a solid reputation by releasing the masterpiece “Spain” in 2000, which won a Grammy Award in the Latin category. Their live performances, with a simple composition of only piano and guitar, became a hot topic all over the world, and they released best-selling albums one after another, “Spain Again” in 2006 and “Spain Forever” in 2016. This live performance features a well-coordinated and tense collaboration between the long-time friends. Tomatito’s performance of Pat Metheny’s “Antonia” and “Concierto de Aranjuez – Spain” allows you to fully enjoy Camilo’s piano, playing the guitar solo parts and orchestral parts on the piano alone.
