Description
The Tokyo performance on August 24th (Tokyo International Forum) was recorded in full with astonishing high quality sound from the festival stage, where Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, and Robin McAuley were accompanied by three successive vocalists! This killer “multi-IEM matrix sound source” allows you to hear all the sounds the band produces with perfect separation and clarity, centered on the unique guitar tone of the “god” (the guitars perfectly separated on the left and right are a masterpiece!) and the “voices” of the three unique singers. The label released a similar “multi-IEM matrix sound source” on the previous tour of Japan (2015), but the level of completion of this series of works is overwhelming, surpassing those. Anyway, Michael’s guitar sound is just too good! Please experience the ever-advancing recording technology of “multi-IEM matrix recording” in 2016! This Tokyo performance was the middle stage of the Japan tour, and perhaps because the official video was also shot, the entire live performance was a performance of the band’s soulfulness. The basic set list for this tour, including “Captain Nemo,” which was unveiled at the Osaka performance, was further expanded with “Cry For The Nation” at this Tokyo performance. And in the last song, “Doctor Doctor,” Graham is in charge of the lead vocals for the first time! (In the Osaka performance, “that” Graham was smiling and only singing the chorus from start to finish… “That” Graham, whose motto is “I can’t remember the lyrics!”… This is a surprise for this tour that is on par with Captain Nemo’s return!) Of course, Michael, the main character, was in top form again this day! He was extremely active on the guitar, on the microphone, and in the chorus. The great Captain Nemo’s historic return stage, Oedo Triumphant Return Edition! This is a memorial item that boasts astonishingly high-quality sound, which we hope you will enjoy along with the official video! The bonus tracks include plenty of footage from the sound check rehearsal that took place before the doors opened that day. You can listen to a number of must-listen takes for enthusiasts, including “Cry For The Nation,” which was added to the set list that day, and “Broken Promises,” which was not performed in the actual show, probably because it was deemed too early.
