Description
The Sapporo performance on August 26th (ZEPP Sapporo) was recorded in full with amazing high quality sound from the festival stage, where Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, and Robin McAuley were accompanied by three successive vocalists! This killer “multi-IEM matrix sound source” allows you to hear all the sounds the band produces with perfect separation and clarity, centered on the unique guitar tone of the “god” (the guitars perfectly separated on the left and right are a masterpiece!) and the “voices” of the three unique singers. The label released a similar “multi-IEM matrix sound source” on their previous tour of Japan (2015), but the level of completion of this series of works is overwhelming, surpassing those of the previous ones. Anyway, Michael’s guitar sound is just too good! Please experience the ever-advancing recording technology, “multi-IEM matrix recording”, in 2016! This Sapporo performance, the final day of the Japan tour, was a wonderful performance that was fitting for the conclusion of the midsummer night festival “Michael Schenker Fest” that ended in a flash with only three performances. The masterpiece “Broken Promises” from “Apocalypse” that was only tried out at the sound checks in Osaka and Tokyo was finally set in! In “Doctor Doctro”, Graham, Gary, and Robin shared the lead parts, just like the Tokyo performance. Gary Barden celebrated his 61st birthday with “Happy Birthday” (although a little early), and Michael even sang in German just before leaving after the show, making it the best night for fans. The historic return stage of the great Captain Nemo is finally the final night! This is a memorial item that allows you to relive that hot night’s performance with amazing high quality sound! The bonus track contains plenty of footage from the sound check rehearsal that took place before the doors opened that day. I don’t know if Graham said “My confidence turned into conviction” during the sound check of “Broken Promises,” which was finally released, but perhaps the answer to that question lies in this sound check.
