The “MY YEARS WITH UFO Tour,” which began in spring 2025, was a tribute to the solo album “MY YEARS WITH UFO,” released the previous year. While the live set, featuring all-UFO numbers, was a hot topic, additional dates in Japan were announced for 2026. This title compiles audio and video footage from the band’s appearance at the annual German metal festival “Wacken Open Air,” held on July 31st during the 2025 Euro Tour. The CD version features the latest digital remastering of the broadcast soundboard master, while the Blu-ray version features the full 91-minute recording, synchronizing the CD’s digitally remastered sound source with the pro-shot footage from the web-on-air master. The impressive set list, consisting entirely of UFO numbers, was a selection of the best tracks from ’70s albums such as “Force It,” “No Heavy Petting,” and “The New Murder.” Although the instrumental medley that doubled as guitar solos, which was played on tour, was cut here, the band did perform the world premiere of their new song “Don’t Sell Your Soul,” and Slash joined in to perform “Mother Mary,” as Guns N’ Roses were also performing that day. This is a must-see and must-listen for fans, as it also serves as a preview for their visit to Japan.
